Dwayne Madry has written the first 15 volumes of the series and outlined the next 15, structuring the franchise around four heroines and twelve bloodlines set in the alternate-universe world of Aarth during the Age of Enlightenment. Dwayne Madry built the foundation of the entire 150-volume story universe during the five-year process of writing the first novel, then accelerated the rollout once the architecture was in place.
