Most entrepreneurs treat their 27-second video like a confession, they sit down, hit record, and just start talking, hoping something compelling comes out. After 40 years of building marketing strategies for some of the most competitive brands in the country, I can tell you: that approach does not work at any level.

A 27-second video that converts is not improvised. It is engineered. And when you combine that engineering with AI-enhanced marketing strategies built for Utah entrepreneurs, the results move at a speed that would have been impossible even five years ago.

This is Part 2 of our three-part Agency Insights series based on the "Say It In 27 Seconds" class taught free every week at the INCubator. In Part 1, we covered the 10 mistakes and the research process. Here, we get into the architecture, the components, the scripting, and how AI is being used at the INCubator to sharpen every piece of it.

Every Great Video Has the Same Components, In the Same Order

This is the framework I teach in our free marketing classes, and it does not change. Whether you are selling a product, a service, a course, or yourself as an expert, this is the sequence:

The first thing your viewer sees. It has one job: make them stay. It must be short, punchy, and immediately relevant to the person you are targeting. It should contain the keywords of their pain point, not yours. You are not leading with your solution. You are leading with their problem.

Strong headline example for a Utah solopreneur: "Why most small Utah businesses waste their first 10 seconds of video, and lose the sale." That headline speaks directly to the person scrolling who already suspects they are leaving money on the table.

Yes, I teach CTA second, not last. In a 27-second video, you must know your CTA before you structure your content, because everything you say should be pointing toward it. The CTA drives the entire architecture. "Come to our free class." "Download the guide." "Send us a message." One action. One destination. Crystal clear.

This is where you earn trust. You name the pain your viewer is feeling with enough specificity that they feel seen. Not generic frustration, specific frustration. "You've posted 40 videos and gotten 12 views and you still don't know why" is more powerful than "video marketing can be hard."

Here is where most people blow it, they make the solution about themselves instead of about the viewer's outcome. The solution segment should show what life looks like after the problem is solved. What does your viewer gain? How does their business change? How does their day feel different?

This is not a small detail. Music sets emotional tone, and emotional tone is what makes content shareable. Use platforms like Epidemic Sound, Artlist, or AudioJungle to find tracks that match the energy of your message without overwhelming it.
